About Desiree

Desiree, a talented wildlife artist and photographer, was born in Orpington, Kent and currently resides on the scenic South Coast in West Sussex, England.  With a lifelong passion for wildlife art and photography, Desiree draws inspiration from the English countryside and its diverse wildlife.

Her artistic journey involves immersing herself in nature, capturing reference materials through on-location sketching and photography.  Her numerous trips to Africa have gifted her a stunning collection of big game images, enriching her artistic repertoire.

Among her preferred artistic styles, Chinese Brush Painting holds a special place, particularly the meticulous style.  This technique involves a careful and realistic approach, incorporating intricate details and vibrant colors to depict narrative scenes on silk or rice paper.  Desiree's meticulous paintings, known for their exquisite detail, are sought after and collectible.

Awards and recognition have been a constant companion on Desiree's artistic path and she has been selected five times for the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year awards showing her work at the Mall Gallery in London. 
Her art has gained attention and admiration with collectors as far as Australia.

She actively participates in the art community, showcasing her work at country shows, art fairs, and festivals.  Her events calendar is a testament to her commitment to sharing her creations and adventures.
